MadStad Engineering no longer offers our adjustable bracket system for the plastic flyscreen simply because the metal flyscreen version is much better. The simple fact is that the factory flyscreen is too flexible to be useful because of the bike's vibration at low RPMs. We could brace our bracket system from the outside, but we feel that uglies up the bike too much. Bracing the flyscreen from behind works to a point, but not well enough in our opinion. The right way to do this is to replace the soft, flexible flyscreen with a metal one. It costs us more to make it this way but it's the right thing to do to keep your windshield vibration to a minimum. Unfortunately the factory colors (red, blue and orange) are too costly to color-match in powder coating, so we will offer the metal flyscreen in only three powder-coated colors: (default) "semi-gloss black", or let us know if you would prefer gloss-black or white so you may paint it yourself. If you really want the factory orange, red or blue (or want to custom-paint your flyscreen), get the white flyscreen and paint it with liquid paint which can easily be color-matched to your factory flyscreen at your local paint store or home improvement store. There are two windshield shapes to choose from, the "Adventure" and the "Spyder" styles shown at right. You can also get the brackets by themselves and add your own shield (any shield that fits the Ulysses will fit our brackets). Either way, this system lets you take control of your airflow with no vacuum or turbulence, just smooth riding comfort. No fixed windshield system can compare. | | | | |
