The MadStad system consists of 3 parts: the mounting base (adapter plate), the windshield, and the adjustable RoboBrackets. The aluminum adapter plate bolts to your headlight cluster and becomes the mounting base for the system. The MadStad RoboBrackets bolt to this aluminum base plate then the front windshield screws onto the brackets. With the shield separated from the base you can adjust the height, angle and airflow gap. This lets you set the shield for your particular height and riding position while pulling lots of air underneath it which is critical for smooth airflow.

This kit includes everything you need to mount your RoboBracket system including the adjustment wrenches to position your shield. The 20" (500mm) shield shown above should work great for most riders up to about 6'0" (183 cm) tall. Remember, in the photos above this is not a fixed position, it is just one of many positions throughout a 5"+ height adjustment range. We do have a taller 22" (550 mm) shield for very tall riders and smaller 18" (450 mm) shield available if you are shorter or just want the least amount of shield that will give you smooth airflow.
